Privacy Policy (Tenikki)

Tenikki (the “App”) is a handwriting-only diary app. It is designed with your privacy as a top priority. Your diary data is stored only on your device and in your own iCloud. There is no developer server, and the developer cannot read your diary.

1. Basic policy

The App has no account registration. The only place your handwritten diary data is sent is your own iCloud, provided by Apple (see below). No third party, including the developer, can access the contents of your diary.

2. Data stored on your device and in iCloud

• Handwritten diary data: the strokes you draw.
• App settings: notification on/off and time, pen settings, etc.
• Purchase state: whether Pro (one-time purchase) is unlocked.

These are stored only on your device and, if iCloud sync is enabled, in your own iCloud.

Biometric data and the device passcode used for App Lock are handled by Apple's system. The App and its developer do not receive or store their contents.

3. About iCloud sync

• The App uses Apple's iCloud Documents so you can see the same diary on iPad and iPhone.
• Data is stored in your own Apple account storage; the developer cannot access it.
• If you prefer not to sync, you can turn off iCloud for the App in iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud (data will then be stored only on your device).

4. Data we do not collect

The developer does not independently collect the following. For information handled by the advertising SDK to serve ads, see Section 6.

• Personally identifying information such as name, email address, or phone number
• Location data
• Usage analytics or crash analytics

5. Notifications

The write-reminder is a local notification that works entirely on your device. No server communication is used for notifications.

6. About ads (free version)

• The free version shows non-personalized ads (ads not based on your interests) at the bottom of the screen, served via Google AdMob.
• In the course of serving ads, the ad SDK may send device information (model, OS version, etc.) to Google. See the Google Privacy Policy for details.
• The App always serves non-personalized ads and does not track you for advertising. It therefore does not request App Tracking Transparency permission.
• Ad measurement uses SKAdNetwork, Apple's privacy-preserving framework (it does not identify individuals).
• If you purchase Pro (one-time), no ads are shown.

7. In-app purchase

The Pro one-time purchase is processed by Apple's in-app purchase system. The developer never receives your payment information such as credit card numbers.

8. Deleting your data

• Deleting the App removes the data stored on your device.
• Data in iCloud can be removed from iOS Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Storage.

9. Changes to this policy

Any changes will be announced on this page. Important changes will also be announced in the App.
